Vatican Mass | EASTER 2009

Pope Benedict XVI (Latin: Benedictus PP. XVI; Italian: Benedetto XVI; German: Benedikt XVI.; born Joseph Alois Ratzinger on 16 April 1927) is the 265th and reigning Pope, by virtue of his office of Bishop of Rome, the head of the Roman Catholic Church and, as such, Sovereign of the Vatican City State.
Easter Sunday is Christianity’s most important feast day, when the faithful mark their belief in the resurrection of Christ after Jesus’ death by crucifixion. For Christians worldwide, Easter represents God’s promise of eternal life after death, of love’s triumph over death.
Pope Benedict was elected four years ago on 19 April 2005 in a papal conclave, celebrated his Papal Inauguration Mass on 24 April 2005, and took possession of his cathedral, the Basilica of St. John Lateran, on 7 May 2005. Pope Benedict XVI has both German and Vatican citizenship. He succeeded Pope John Paul II.
Early EASTER Madness!!
It takes less than a minute. Work this out as you read…
-
First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10 (you PIG!)
-
Multiply this number by 2
-
ADD 5.
-
Multiply it by 50 — I’ll wait while you get the calculator 🙂
-
IF you have already had your birthday this year ADD 1758… If you have NOT, add 1757.
-
Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.
You should have a three-digit number.
The first digit of this was your original number (ie: how many times you want to have chocolate each week).
