Canada leads the way (once again)

Fast eclipsing it’s southern neighbour, Canada took the final leap today and legalized weed.

The FIRST G7 Nation to do so, Canada becomes the second country after Uruguay (of all places) to completely allow marijuana use by its citizens without reproach of prosecution. Pushing it one step further, forthcoming full pardons for simple pot possession are expected soon. GO CANADA!

SMART ! The tourism is going to go batshit next summer as those poor Americans head north to herb country.

Celebrating Ten Years on the Air!

Unbelievable we have been at this since 2008. Our objectives remain valid and even more important for the internet’s citizens to protect FREE SPEECH. (Fuck you potus)

The Anonymous® Show is an internet radio programme that discusses a variety of weighty topics, including social issues. The Anonymity angle is also a way of poking fun at political correctness.

“I strongly believe there is NO acceptable form of censorship in a TRULY free society, only OPEN debate and discussion. That is true tolerance; the tolerance of another’s ideas. Too many people don’t express their feelings because they’re afraid of what other people might think. By helping them retain the internet’s cloak of anonymity, strangers can reveal what they would really like to say”

The Background Dope on Domain “seizures”

The amerikin government is so full of shit! There is no such thing as a domain “seizure” – it’s all just smoke and mirrors.

Libérale et libertaire

As has been reported, it looks like ICE, which is the principal investigative arm of DHS, has begun seizing domains under the pretext of IP infringement. But it’s actually not ICE who is executing the mechanics of the seizures. It’s a private company, immixGroup IT Solutions. Here is what is going down.

In May of this year, immixGroup IT Solutions is awarded a one year IT Services contract with DHS. The particulars of this contract:

Under this new contract, immixGroup will provide information technology operational services and support, implementation, and maintenance of DHS ICE C3’s software applications, network and CyberSecurity systems, as well as the maintenance and enhancement of applications that support law enforcement activities.

The contract includes one base year, one 12-month option period, and two six-month option periods; covers all four divisions of C3 (Child Exploitation, Cyber Crimes, Computer Forensics, and Cyber Training); and is critical…

It’s World day against Cyber-Censorship

The fight for online freedom of expression is more essential than ever. By creating new spaces for exchanging ideas and information, the Internet is a force for freedom. In countries where the traditional media are controlled by the government, the only independent news and information are to be found on the Internet, which has become a forum for discussion and a refuge for those who want to express their views freely.
