The recent spate of attacks on police forces in the U.S. can be easily attributed to the public’s acceptance of the American S.W.A.T. team so many years ago. Since their initial appearance, those same costumes, weapons, etc. are being seen more and more on the streets without a second thought under the guise of “gotta be ready for them terrorists” bullshit.
Moreover, the returning SOLDIERS who leave the military for whatever reason sometimes find themselves jobs as “security” personnel, sowing overkill (sic) on the unsuspecting CITIZEN.
Bringing the war mentality to the American PUBLIC is now the new normal. SHOOT first, ask questions later. JUST in case.
The balance of power.
It’s no wonder the appropriate response, decades later, comes as BLACK MILITARY personnel push back against the racist cops a-la-Malcolm X and Black Panthers. Further escalation is expected.
You can only fuck with people to a certain extent before they will call you on it and kill your sorry ass.
Unfortunately, the police actually BELIEVE they are somehow protected by the magic law and order fairy. I spoke with one cop who was wearing a bullet-proof vest. So I asked him “what if they shoot you in the head?” No answer.
Woken up tired again? Us too! *yawns * But it turns out there could be a very good reason we always feel zonked, even after getting the golden eight hours. I find it interesting that Americans have a constitutional right to bear arms. Seemingly to protect themselves. But in exactly zero cases in the last – let’s be conservative 50 mass
shootings has anybody pulled out a gun and shot the gunman to ‘protect themselves’?
What the fuck is up with that!!?
Edited: people were losing the point between bear arms and bare arms. My mistake. Maybe people can now focus on the fact you’re getting killed in mass murders in the US of A.
Whether you’re pulling your hair out over finals, your mom’s incessant phone calls or the fact that your roommate refuses to use ear buds while you’re studying, it’s easy to lose your cool. So i zip across the pond for Paris in the Spring – fly back 10 days later and ol’ pecker-head STILL hasn’t been neutered? SERIOUSLY – the clown show is over America.
STOP fucking around! Obama is leaving and ain’t coming back. “People get ready” is not just a great lyric, now IS the time to pick up the pieces and start to restore your country to it’s former glory. Hilary’s your best bet – Trump, not so much.
"The greatest evil is not done in those sordid dens of evil that Dickens loved to paint ... but is conceived and ordered ( moved, seconded carried and minuted ) in clear, carpeted, warmed, well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices"

"You are talking to a leftist. I believe in the redistribution of wealth and power in the world. I believe in universal hospital care for everyone. I believe that we should not have a single homeless person in the richest country in the world. And I believe that we should not have a C.I.A. that goes around overwhelming governments and assassinating political leaders, working for tight oligarchies around the world to protect the tight oligarchy here at home."
