i’m writing to remind you to register to vote right away if you haven’t already, & to further implore you to send this email to anyone you know in a swing state, (as in: Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin) or anyone you know who knows someone who does, and so on.

including people you haven’t spoken with since whenever.

this is a moment of unparalleled perfection to say Hello how are you, how’s it going in Passaic or Battle Creek or Boulder or Dover or Bloomington et cetera, and by the way, are you registered to vote yet? No?

last but not least, i strongly encourage voting absentee, as a vote with a paper trail is much harder to fudge than one without, and these things press upon my mind after our last 2 rounds with American Democracy.
